Linklaters bolsters global TMT offering with hire of Ieuan Jolly
Privacy leader will Co-Chair firm’s U.S. Data Solutions, Cyber and Privacy practice
Linklaters has announced the hire of market-leading data lawyer Ieuan Jolly who has joined as partner in New York. Ieuan will serve as Co-Chair of the U.S. Data Solutions, Cyber and Privacy practice and will help drive the growth of the firm’s Technology, Media & Telecom (TMT) offering in the U.S.
Last month, the firm hired Erez Liebermann as partner and Co-Chair of the U.S. Data Solutions, Cyber and Privacy alongside Andrew S. Pak as Counsel.
Ieuan Jolly is a globally recognized data and technology lawyer whose experience spans three continents. His data-focused practice incorporates privacy counseling, cybersecurity, and data-driven transactions. He is also regularly involved in complex technology and corporate transactions assessing the valuation and vulnerabilities of data-rich and technology-enabled companies in the context of M&A and capital market transactions, strategic investments, commercial agreements and working with VCs, funds and private equity companies on growth and exit strategies.
He has advised on some of the most high-profile global security breaches including, phishing, ransomware, spoofing, malware, spyware, DOS and negligence, involving collectively more than 100 million affected individuals across 45 countries. On the transactional side, Ieuan has engineered and negotiated some of the most pioneering data transactions globally worth over a combined value of $10 billion, utilizing data in a range of innovative ways and injecting new revenue streams into companies looking to leverage their data assets.
Ieuan joins from Loeb & Loeb where he was a partner and Co-Chair of Privacy, Security & Data Innovations. He will be joined by an associate, also from Loeb & Loeb, to add further depth to the U.S. Data Solutions, Cyber and Privacy practice.
