Linklaters partners with The University of the West Indies and the Norman Manley Law School to launch its 2023 legal internship program
Linklaters has partnered with The University of the West Indies – St. Augustine and Mona campuses (UWI) and the Norman Manley Law School to once again offer its Virtual Legal Research Internship program in Winter 2023. The three-week paid internship is designed to help students from UWI’s Law Faculties (UWI Mona and UWI St Augustine) and the Norman Manley Law School prepare for a career in the legal industry.
Interns will work alongside Linklaters’ lawyers and business teams to develop legal and business skills through work across a variety of research and writing projects. They will also be provided with mentors from one of the firm’s many commercial practices.
Dr. Timothy Affonso, Faculty of Law Dean (Acting), University of the West Indies, St. Augustine Campus, Trinidad & Tobago, commented, “
This continued partnership between Linklaters and the Faculty of Law at the UWI, St. Augustine Campus, is exciting and rewarding. Our students get the opportunity to see the practical application of law and learn from some of the best lawyers in their respective fields. This greatly enhances our students' experience and makes them truly global citizens."
Dr. Natalie Corthésy, Associate Dean Outreach and Continuing Legal Education, The University of the West Indies, Mona Campus, Jamaica, added,
