Linklaters New York advises Citi on its largest energy inventory intermediation transaction to date
Citigroup Energy signs $800 million deal spanning three crude oil refineries with combined daily throughput of 227,000 barrels
A New York Linklaters team advised Citigroup Energy Inc. in the negotiation of an $800,000,000 physical crude oil, feedstock and products Inventory Intermediation Agreement to provide working capital support for conventional crude oil-based feedstocks and products with DK Trading & Supply, LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of Delek US Holdings, Inc. (NYSE: DK). This is the largest transaction of its type ever completed at Citi and represents an important part of the company’s strategic plan to grow its global commodities business.
The transaction covers three refineries located in Texas, Louisiana, and Arkansas, with a combined crude oil throughput capacity of 227,000 barrels per day.
The Linklaters team was led by partner Jonathan Ching, counsel Melissa Ferraro, and associates Julia Koinoff, Andrew Kummer, and Nicholas Bazzarone.
