Overview

Faye is a commercial litigator based in London, with extensive experience in high-value and complex disputes before the High Court, the Court of Appeal and the Supreme Court.

Faye has acted in cross-border and cross-practice teams to advise on a number of high-profile restructuring and insolvency cases in recent years advising insolvency practitioners and companies in restructuring processes. Her practice also covers complex litigation across a range of sectors, including for banking and financial services clients as well as clients operating in the construction and infrastructure spaces.

In addition to her work in the London office, Faye has spent time in the Abu Dhabi office and has also completed two secondments, one to the High Court of Justice, Chancery Division as a Judicial Assistant and another to a commodity trader and extractive industry client.

Work highlights

Faye’s recent matters include:

  • Advising PwC as the administrators of various of the UK Lehman estates on a range of insolvency-related disputes.
  • Advising the joint liquidators of the ABP group of companies in relation to contentious issues regarding the disposal of one of London’s largest real estate developments.
  • Advising the administrators of a foreign retail bank regarding the misappropriation of assets by its major shareholders.
  • Acting for a UK construction company in High Court proceedings against a major competitor for claims relating to misappropriation and misuse of confidential information.
  • Acting for a multinational telecommunications company in its defence of competition litigation proceedings brought by the administrators of Phones4U alleging collusion between multiple UK-based network operators and their European parent entities to cease supplying Phones4U.
  • Advising a bank in connection with ongoing claims and complaints by large numbers of customers of a mortgage lender who allege breaches of contractual and regulatory obligations concerning the charging of interest.

Professional experience

Faye also has expertise in advising on anti-bribery and corruption issues, including in the context of M&A transactions, having spent time in an Anti-Corruption team whilst on secondment.

In terms of pro bono work, Faye is also one of the Lead Supervisors for Linklaters’ work with Rainbow Migration, a charity which supports individuals seeking asylum on the grounds of their sexual orientation or gender identity. Faye has also been involved in a number of other pro bono initiatives, including with APPEAL and AMICUS.
