Overview
Mariusz joined the Linklaters Investment Funds practice in 2019.
He advises major international asset managers on the setting up, restructuring and operations of investment funds. He specialises mainly in regulated and unregulated Alternative Investment Funds (AIFs), with a particular focus on ELTIFs, Real Estate, Private Equity and Infrastructure funds. Mariusz is further involved in the industry efforts around so-called “retailisation” of alternative funds. He also advises our clients on regulatory developments such as SFDR, MiFID, GDPR and SRD.
Mariusz spent several months on secondment to a leading real estate investment manager. He also completed a six-month secondment to the Investment Funds practice of Linklaters in London.
He is an active member of several industry associations including the Association of the Luxembourg Fund Industry (ALFI) and the Luxembourg Private Equity and Venture Capital Association (LPEA).

- CBRE Investment Management: advising on the restructuring of CBRE Global Alpha Fund, one of their flagship specialised investment funds, including creation of a series of parallel vehicles and enhancements to the underlying holding structure.
- A British multinational investment bank and financial services company: advising and assisting on the setting-up of an RAIF organised as an umbrella fund with the view to provide investors with access to private market strategies.
- A leading multinational investment bank and financial services company and consulting firm: advising on the establishment of the first European Long Term Investment Fund of his leading investment bank, including structuring, distribution and regulatory aspects.
- A leading real estate investment management firm: advising the firm as fund sponsor and manager on the implementation of the Sustainable Finance

Education and qualifications
Mariusz holds a Master’s degree in European Banking and Financial Law (LL.M.) from the University of Luxembourg and a Master’s degree in Law (with honors) from the University of Warsaw. Prior to joining Linklaters, he has worked in the Investment Funds and Capital Markets practice of a law firm in Luxembourg.
Mariusz was admitted to the Luxembourg Bar in 2018.
Mariusz speaks Polish, English and French.
