Overview
Michał is a NY-qualified lawyer in Linklaters' Warsaw Corporate/M&A team. He specialises in corporate and commercial law, with experience in advising clients on private M&A transactions, joint ventures, corporate reorganisations and general corporate advice. His professional experience focuses on Polish and multi-jurisdictional M&A transactions in the CEE and Eurasia regions.
Work highlights
- Qatar Investment Authority: advising on the acquisition of an approx. 20% interest in the D.ream International global fine dining group, whose brands include the well-known Nusr-et (founded by Salt Bae) and Zuma.
- Compagnie Plastic Omnium SA: advising the French listed company on the Polish aspects of a €600m strategic acquisition of Varroc Lighting Systems, a supplier of automotive lighting systems.
- An American multinational manufacturer and marketer of home appliances: advising on the acquisition of a minority stake in a leading data analytics solutions provider in Poland, establishment of a JV with its founder with potential buy-out of the remaining stake in the future.
- Kronospan: advising on the abandoned acquisition of 100% of shares in Pfleiderer Polska sp. z o.o.
- Unilever PLC: advising on the Polish aspects of €4.5bn sale of the world’s leading tea business to CVC Capital Partners.
- ING Bank Śląski, a Polish subsidiary of ING Group: advising on its acquisition of 45% of shares in NN Investment Partners TFI (Polish asset management company) from NN Investment Partners International Holdings.

He is an alumnus of the PAGA Foundation’s Capital Market Leaders Academy.
Education and qualifications
Michał read law at Columbia Law School where he was a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar, the London School of Economics (LSE) and the University of Wroclaw. Michał holds also a B.A. and M.A. in economics from the University of Wroclaw. Currently, he is a Ph.D. candidate at the Polish Academy of Sciences.
