Linklaters Paris advises NW on securing 430 million for its storage business in France and Finland
Linklaters has advised NW on securing €430 million in non-recourse bank financing from Santander CIB and Rabobank. This financing will enable NW to build and commission over 2 GWh of storage capacity in France and Finland by the end of 2025.
This financing follows a previous fundraising, in 2022, where NW, also advised by Linklaters, secured €300 million, valuing the group at €1.5 billion and establishing it as one of France's first energy transition unicorn.
NW is the French leader in electricity storage with over 600 MW of installed capacity and more than 130 ultra-fast charging stations (IECharge®).
The Linklaters team for this transaction included François April, Partner, Noémie Lisbonis-Boyer, Laura Nunes Vicente, Managing Associate, William Toutain and Marie Kooli, Associates (Energy & Infrastructure), as well as Cyril Boussion, Partner, and Wassim Mokadem, Associate (Tax), and Sophie Weiss, Managing Associate in Structured Finance.
In recent years, Linklaters has been involved in numerous major transactions in the energy transition space, particularly in the renewable and decarbonized energy sector.
