Overview

Fiona is a specialist in international finance with wide-ranging experience across Asia, covering all manner of loan financings including complex acquisition financings, structured and limited recourse financings, fund financings, pre-IPO financings as well as margin lending. She has extensive experience dealing with complex issues across the life cycle of a transaction, with parties at every possible layer in the capital structure.

Prior to re-joining Linklaters, Fiona worked for 12 years at a leading European investment bank, rising to become managing director with oversight responsibilities for loan financing transactions and lawyers across the region, supporting the full range of investment and private banking lending activity.

Fiona was based in Linklaters’ London office from 2003 to 2005 and in the firm’s Singapore office from 2005 to 2007.

Professional experience

Fiona is particularly interested in innovative approaches to the delivery of legal services. She is a thought leader in this space, having been co-head of an Innovation working group in her previous position, and having taken the lead in introducing innovative approaches to fee arrangements and the application of technology to transaction execution. She presented on this topic at Singapore’s TechLaw.Fest in 2018.

Fiona studied law and business at Queensland University of Technology, Brisbane.
