Welcome to our Summer Edition of Investor Agenda.
As we have now come to expect, there have been plenty of interesting developments in relation to ESG. In this edition, we comment on the guide published for pension scheme trustees by the Taskforce on Social Factors, which aims to support trustees in considering social factors – the “S” in ESG – in relation to their scheme’s investments. We also comment on the Pensions Regulator’s publication following its annual review of TCFD reports from across the industry, including some of the key themes from its review and how this may impact future TCFD reports prepared by trustees.
We have commented in recent editions of Investor Agenda on the ongoing saga of the exemption for UK pension schemes from clearing in-scope derivative transactions. In this edition, we provide a further update on this following a statement by the European Securities and Markets Authority to EU counterparties which transact with UK pension schemes.
