Linklaters has advised the JGCs in connection to BillerudKorsnäs rights issue of SEK 3.5 billion

The rights issue was fully secured by subscription and underwriting commitments from existing shareholders and by Danske Bank and SEB also acting as Joint Global Coordinators and Joint Bookrunners. The rights issue will repay part of the debt raised in conjunction with the acquisition of Verso.

BillerudKorsnäs provides paper and packaging materials that challenge conventional packaging for a sustainable future. The company has ten production units in Sweden, USA, and Finland with around 5 800 employees in over 13 countries and customers in over 100 countries. BillerudKorsnäs has an annualized turnover of around SEK 37,2 billion and is listed on Nasdaq Stockholm. Linklaters advised the Joint Global Coordinators and Joint Bookrunners.
