Linklaters takes clean sweep of global renewables league tables
Linklaters continued its market leading position in global renewables deals in 2020, with the full year global renewables league tables from IJ Global, Inframation and Bloomberg Clean Energy placing the firm in top spot for renewables by deal value.
- IJ Global reports that the firm advised on global renewables infrastructure finance transactions valued at US$30,167 million and global renewables project finance transactions valued at US$33,216 million.
- Linklaters also ranked number one in the 2020 league tables from Inframation for global renewables advising on deals valued at US$32,217 million and for European renewables advising on deals valued at US$30,445 million.
- Bloomberg ranked Linklaters at no 1 with asset finance deals valued at US$20,217 million.
Linklaters advised on 5 of the top 6 biggest deals in the renewables sector in 2020 including the four largest global greenfield offshore wind farm project financings: the 2.4GW Dogger Bank and the 1.14GW Seagreen, both in the UK, the 600MW Changfang and Xidao in Taiwan and the 497MW Fecamp project in France. The firm also advised on the largest M&A deal in the sector, the acquisition of Viridor.
