Overview

Alex is a Managing Associate in the Corporate team of our London office. Alex advises major corporates, financial sponsors and investors on mergers and acquisitions, demergers, public takeovers, joint ventures, equity offerings and corporate reorganisations, as well as providing general corporate law advice to both publicly listed and private companies.

Work highlights

Alex has advised on many high-profile corporate transactions, including:

  • bp: advising on the acquisition of the 50.03% interest it does not already own in Lightsource bp, a developer and operator of utility-scale solar and battery storage assets.
  • Carrier Global Corporation: advising on the sale of its industrial fire business to Sentinel Partners for $1.4bn and on the sale of its commercial refrigeration business to Haier for $775m.
  • Nestlé: advising on the carve-out of a food business into a 50/50 joint venture.
  • Royal Bank of Canada: advising on its recommended £1.6bn takeover of Brewin Dolphin Holdings plc.*
  • Goldman Sachs and JP Morgan: advising on Clayton, Dubilier & Rice’s successful £7.1bn cash offer by way of auction under the UK Takeover Code for WM Morrison Supermarkets plc.*
  • Charles Stanley Group plc: advising on its recommended £278.9m takeover by Raymond James UK Wealth Management Holdings Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Raymond James Financial Inc.*
  • Bombardier Inc.: advising on the sector-transforming sale of Bombardier Transportation, its rail manufacturing business, to Alstom.*

Professional experience

Alex joined the firm in 2022. Prior to joining Linklaters, Alex trained and practiced in the London corporate department of another international law firm, where she was seconded to Hong Kong in 2019 and to the M&A legal team of global investment bank Citi in 2021.

Education and qualifications

Alex studied Modern Languages (French and Italian) at University College London (UCL).
