Carlos Olmedo

Carlos has an extensive experience in leading transactional work, particularly for corporate clients and private equity houses on complex deals.

Carlos expertise is extended to the full “deal continuum”, mainly in tax due diligence projects, acquisition and finance structuring, deal execution and post-deal integration advice. Carlos has specialised knowledge of the infrastructure and real estate sectors covering the whole spectrum.

Legal500 recognises Carlos as a rising star and “key name to note”.

Work highlights

• Actis: advising on the tax matters of the acquisition from Asterion of a portfolio of 11 data centers in Chile, Brazil, Peru, Argentina, Mexico, and USA.

• TDR Capital and I Squared Capital: advising on all tax aspects of their €1.26bn competing takeover offer for Applus Services.

• The shareholders of Primafrio: advising on the tax matters of the €705m sale of a 49.99% of the Company to Apollo Infrastructure.

• The consortium formed by Globalvía and Kinetic: advising on the tax aspects of the Public Takeover Offer for 100% of Go-Ahead.

• He also advised on all tax aspects in the context of, among others, Deoleo, Naviera Armas and Lecta’s financial debt restructurings.

Carlos graduated from the University of Valencia (2005-2010) and has a Master's in Tax Advisory from IE Business School (2010-2011).
