Overview
Irene joined Linklaters’ Corporate M&A practice in July 2017, having previously gained professional experience with the corporate practice of a local law firm.
Irene’s expertise includes general company law, legal advice to private equity firms, restructurings and co-investment vehicles.
She mainly advises private equity firms in the structuring of acquisitions and the set-up of co-investment vehicles. Irene also recently advised on the set-up of special purpose acquisition vehicles (SPACs) and their listing on a regulated market.
Experience highlights:
- ARDIAN: advising on the setting-up and subsequent syndication of a Luxembourg société en commandite par actions, acting as a co-investment vehicle for the stake it holds in Nuova Argo Finanziaria S.p.A. controlling ASTM S.p.A. and SIAS S.p.A. which are leading operators in the management of toll motorway concessions.
- A large investment company: advising on the acquisition of a residential object in Munich and on the set up of the Luxembourg acquisition structure.
- A large institutional fund: in relation to the acquisition of a stake in AccorInvest, the holding company of the world leader in hotel real estate with close to 30,000 employees and operations in 27 countries and a current portfolio of 891 hotels.
Education and qualifications
She holds a combined Bachelor and Master of Science in Law from the Bocconi University of Milan (Italy).
She is fluent in Italian, English and French.
