Michael has experience on a range of transactions, predominantly within the capital markets, as well as providing general corporate advice to various clients across a variety of sectors.

Work highlights

Michael’s recent experiences include:

  • SSE and Equinor: advising on the acquisition of Triton Energy from Energy Capital Partners LLC as part of their UK hydrogen strategy.
  • Tate & Lyle: advising on the sale of a 50% stake in its Primary Products business, valuing the business at $1.7bn.
  • ASA International Group: advising its founders on its IPO on the London Stock Exchange.
  • Petrofac: advising on its $1.1bn refinancing, including an equity raise (by way of a placing and open offer).
  • Mitie Group: advising on its £201m rights issue and acquisition of Interserve’s facilities management business.
  • Aston Martin Lagonda Global Holdings and Elementis: advising underwriting syndicates on a rights issue.
  • Unilever: advising on the unification of its legal structure by way of a £120bn cross-border merger.
  • Blue-chip clients and investment houses: advising on various international corporate restructurings.
