Overview
Niki is a managing associate in the corporate practice in the Linklaters’ Amsterdam office and has worked on a wide range of private M&A transactions for financial sponsors and major corporates. Niki mostly advises private equity and financial sponsors, on private equity investments/divestments, joint ventures, management investment plans, energy market related matters, portfolio company advisory matters and day-to-day corporate governance and company law.
In 2024, Niki has spent time seconded to the Linklaters London office.
Work highlights
Niki has been a key advisor on the following transactions and matters:
- Hillhouse on the acquisition and disentanglement of Philips Domestic Appliances B.V. from Koninklijke Philips N.V. for EUR 3.2 billion.
- TDR Capital on various matters including the establishment of a consortium investing in the carve-out of CarNext from leasing company LeasePlan and a EUR 400 million capital raise and the combination of LeasePlan with ALD, Societe Generale’s car leasing division for EUR 4.9 billion.
- Hg on the acquisition of a significant stake in CUBE / The Content Group (TCG) Limited. CUBE is a global leader in Automated Regulatory Intelligence and Regulatory Change Management technology.
- Infracapital Partners on the acquisition of Vopak Rotterdam Botlek, a Dutch specialized liquid storage terminal business from a subsidiary of Koninklijke Vopak N.V.
- CapMan Group on the acquisition of Serverius Holding B.V. and set-up of a European data centre platform.
- E.ON SE on the sale of Essent Belgium to Luminus, a subsidiary of EDF.
- Castleton Commodities International on its acquisition of a 786MW combined cycle gas power plant in Spain.
- Centerbridge Partners Europe LLP on its €330m leveraged buy-out of Solidus Solutions Solid Board B.V., Aurelius Ypsilon Invest B.V. and Solidus Solutions Belgium BVBA (together, Solidus Solutions) from Aurelius Equity Opportunities SE & Co. KGaA (Aurelius).
Education and qualifications
Niki holds a master's degree in corporate law from the University Of Nijmegen.
