Linklaters Launches CFIUS Excepted Investor Tool
Linklaters’ U.S. Foreign Investment practice has launched a new tool to help investors determine whether they meet the “excepted investor” criteria that would exempt them from certain complex regulatory requirements by the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS).
CFIUS gives preferential treatment to excepted investors from Australia, Canada, New Zealand, and the UK if they meet certain qualifications relating to ownership, governance, and behavior. In a few clicks, our new tool helps walks prospective investors through the key questions for assessing whether they qualify.
The CFIUS Excepted Investor Tool was launched in conjunction with a revamped web page that streamlines Linklaters’ resources for navigating the numerous and complex foreign investment risks and regulations in the U.S., well beyond CFIUS.
