• Apax Partners: advising on the acquisition of Rodenstock group, a German manufacturer of ophthalmic lenses and frames from funds advised by Compass Partners.
• Montagu Private Equity: advising on the acquisition of the asset manager Universal-Investment Group from private bank Berenberg and Bankhaus Lampe. 
• Universal-Beteiligungs- und Servicegesellschaft mbH: advising on its indirect acquisition of the entire issued share capital of European Fund Administration S.A., a Luxembourg-based central administration services provider regulated by the CSSF.
• DIF Infrastructure IV Coöperatief U.A. und Électricité de France S.A.: advising the Dutch infrastructure funds DIF Infrastructure IV Coöperatief U.A. and DIF IV Co-Invest C.V. and the investment arm of the French multinational utility company Energie de France S.A. on the sale of their joint 100% ownership stake in Thyssengas, a major German gas transmission system operator.
• CPPIB and TCV: advising on the acquisition of a participation in Sportradar from EQT.
• Groupe Bruxelles Lambert (GBL): advising on the acquisition of a majority stake in Canyon Bicycles.
• Montagu Private Equity and its portfolio company Universal-Investment: advising on the acquisition of the Fintech CAPinside GmbH, a B2B online platform for the investment market based on artificial intelligence.
• Montagu Private Equity: advising a portfolio company of Montagu Private Equity on the formation of a joint venture focusing on the step-up and administration of funds using modular ledger blockchain technology.
• Apax Partners: advising on the sale of Neuraxpharm.
• Société Générale: advising on the sale of a truck and trailer rental company.

Johannes studied law at the Philipps University of Marburg and the Albert Ludwig University of Freiburg, where he also completed his doctorate.
