Overview
Nick leads the Linklaters TMT practice in the Middle East. He is an experienced commercial TMT lawyer with market-leading expertise in advising on the specific data regulatory, IP and general commercial law issues arising in the context of artificial intelligence, cloud computing, internet of things and other emerging technologies. Nick has over a decade of experience practicing at leading international law firms across North America, Europe, Asia and the Middle East.
Work highlights
Nick regularly advises clients in the GCC on legal and regulatory questions in the AI, data centers and digital infrastructure, digital payments, digital health and aerospace sectors, including providing full-spectrum TMT support for clients on the drafting and negotiation of data processing arrangements, services agreements, and technology licensing and development contracts, in the context of joint ventures and strategic collaborations, corporate M&A transactions and data commercialisation arrangements.
Nick is recognised as an expert regionally and has been appointed to the Secretariat of the Regulation 10 Committee at the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) Data Protection Commissioner Office, as well as to the technology and digital payments advisory group of the Digital Economy Courts in the DIFC.
