The move to 20 Ropemaker – what the new era will mean for Linklaters
It was 1996 when Linklaters made Silk Street the firm’s London home. By the time 2026 is no more than a few weeks old, the firm will have taken up residence just a couple of minutes away at 20 Ropemaker after a memorable and entirely successful thirty year stay.
Such a project requires exhaustive planning on every level. This month on the alumni website we take a look at some aspects of the 20 Ropemaker project by speaking to people from different parts of Linklaters’ family.
Alison Wilson, Linklaters’ Global Head of Litigation, Arbitration & Investigations also has the role of Sponsoring Partner for the 20 Ropemaker project. She talks to us about what the move will mean for the firm and the client experience offered.
Global Environment Practitioner Suzanne Roberts and Corporate Responsibility Senior Advisor Jonathan Tait outline the firm’s aims for the project, and Global Head of Premises Jonathan Lace, explains how the new London premises may inform the way in which other offices across the network look and function in the years ahead.
We look back as well as forwards. Patrick Plant a stalwart of Linklaters’ real estate team offers some fond recollections of the Silk Street days in an informative video.
