Alumni profile - Pippa Watmough

Law was one of many options that were open to the young Pippa Watmough. A student of maths, physics and chemistry at A Level, she briefly contemplated astrophysics and computer science as possible careers before deciding, in what would become characteristic fashion, to aim for what appeared to be a more commercial option. “I liked the idea of negotiation that seemed to lie behind transactions at a law firm and Linklaters seemed a great place to learn about it,” Pippa explains.

After a stint at Nottingham Law School, Pippa took up her training contract at Silk Street and was immediately struck by the culture that she encountered at Linklaters….
