Linklaters Advises Parques Logísticos Effitek on Financing of Itulpark, Ecuador’s First AAA Sustainable Logistics Park
Linklaters acted as New York counsel to Parques Logísticos Effitek S.A.S. (“Effitek”), an Ecuadorian logistics company, on the financing of Itulpark, the first AAA sustainable logistics park in Ecuador, located in Quito.
The project was financed with facilities from Inter-American Investment Corporation (“IDB Invest”), ILX Fund, and Banco Guayaquil, and with equity contributions, for a total amount of US$80 million.
The IDB Invest facility included two tranches. The financing also has support from certain corporate and individual sponsors. The proceeds of the facilities will be used by Effitek to develop and finalize Itulpark.
The Linklaters transaction team was led by Partner Matthew Poulter in São Paulo and Associate Juan Mata in New York.
