Overview

Aileen has a breadth of experience assisting clients with a wide range of ESG-related issues including: identifying and addressing ESG considerations in M&A transactions and major project financings; ESG regulation and disclosure regimes; and ESG governance and strategy.

Aileen is based in our London office and works closely with colleagues in practice groups and offices across the firm. She is a regular contributor to our Sustainable Futures Blog.

Work highlights

Aileen’s recent experience includes advising on ESG-related issues in:

  • Key projects: Advising on the environmental and social aspects of financing complex and largescale projects, including a number of significant offshore Taiwanese wind farm projects and other energy and infrastructure projects.
  • Corporate transactions: Advising on the ESG aspects of transactions in multiple sectors, including identifying and addressing ESG-related issues and reflecting requirements in transaction documents. She advised on environmental, health and safety issues on the purchase of certain British Steel assets.
  • ESG regulation and disclosure regimes: Guiding clients on the content and requirements of ESG regulation. This includes advising on the increasing number of ESG-related disclosure regimes, including questions on scoping, requirements, compliance, and reporting readiness for new regimes.
  • ESG governance: Assisting clients in the management of ESG governance through the creation and implementation of ESG frameworks, policies, and systems.

Education and qualifications

Aileen studied law with French law at University College London.
