Overview
Celeste represents leading financial institutions and other lenders, arrangers, agents and borrowers in a broad range of domestic and cross-border finance deals. She has experience with various finance transactions including: term, revolving and margin facilities, acquisition financings, receivables financings, margin loans, exit financings and vessel financings and associated transactions. Prior to joining Linklaters, Celeste practiced as a finance associate at another international law firm.
Work highlights
Celeste has advised clients on a wide range of complex international transactions. These include advising:
- Raízen Group: advised Raízen in connection with a Bpifrance covered facility made to Raízen Argentina S.A.U. in connection with the construction of new plants as part of the expansion and modernisation of the Dock Sud Refinery owned and operated by Raízen in Argentina.
- Concord Resources Limited: advised Concord on amendments and waivers to two of their existing financing facilities in connection with Concord’s acquisition of 90% of New Day Aluminum Holdings LLC.
- An ad-hoc group of secured creditors: advised on a multi-billion-dollar recapitalization of Concordia International Corp., a publicly listed international generics pharmaceuticals business with sales in more than 90 countries.
- Deutsche Bank AG New York Branch: advised the lead arranger on a multi-million-dollar dividend recapitalization transaction for LifeMiles, Ltd., a company that owns and operates a loyalty program with over 320 commercial partnerships.
- AMP Capital Investors (UK) Limited and Midwest Fiber Acquisition LLC: advised the Borrower in connection with multi-million-dollar senior secured credit facility and revolving credit facility.
Education and qualifications
Celeste holds a Juris Doctor from Duke University School of Law, where she was the Managing Editor of the Duke Journal of Gender Law and Policy. Celeste obtained her undergraduate degree in Political Science and African and African American Studies from Duke University and was a recipient of the Duke University Mary McLeod Bethune Writing Award.
Celeste is a member of the New York State Bar, United States.
