Overview
Dominik is specialised in dispute resolution in national and international disputes, including litigation, arbitration and alternative dispute resolution, in particular in the energy sector.
Work highlights
- Internationally active wind farm developer: advising on delays in the construction of an offshore wind farm (amount in dispute over €1bn) as well as representation in a DIS arbitration to enforce a performance bond (amount in dispute approx. €23m).
- German energy company: representing in connection with claims for compensation and damages arising from the provision of power generation capacity in a newly constructed hard coal-fired power plant under two long-term power supply agreements (amount in dispute over €1bn).
- International energy company: representing in ICC arbitration proceedings against an Austrian TSO regarding the nullity and termination of a long-term gas transportation contract (Amount in dispute: approx. €200m).
- International technology company: advising on an ICC arbitration concerning outstanding remuneration claims against an EPC contractor and the defence against claims under bank guarantees.
- German industrial company: advising regarding an ICC arbitration because of outstanding remuneration in connection with the construction of a solar park.
- International investment company: representing by giving strategic and litigation advice to the shareholder of a German company on a climate protection lawsuit aimed at a significant reduction of the company's CO2 emissions and thus at adjusting its business model.
Professional experience
Dominik joined Linklaters in 2018 and was appointed Associate in 2021.
Education and qualifications
Dominik studied law at the University of Heidelberg and completed his LLM at the University of Cambridge. Prior to that, he worked at Linklaters during his legal traineeship.
He speaks German, English and French.
