Overview
Ellie is a Managing Associate in the Corporate M&A practice in London with over a decade of transactional expertise in private and public M&A, joint ventures, carve-outs and corporate reorganisations. She also has wide-ranging experience of advising listed and private companies on their corporate governance.
Ellie acts for clients across a broad range of sectors including technology, industrials and consumer. Her international experience includes time spent in our alliance firm Allens' Sydney office and in our Singapore office.

Ellie’s recent experience includes advising:
- Tate & Lyle on its acquisition of CP Kelco, a US-headquartered speciality ingredients business, from J.M. Huber Corporation for $1.8bn
- Carrier on:
-the sale of its global access solutions business to Honeywell for $5bn
-the sale of its industrial fire business to Sentinel Capital Partners for $1.4bn
-the sale of its commercial refrigeration business to Haier for $775m - Visa on:
-its £700m acquisition of Currency Cloud, a global platform that provides foreign exchange solutions for cross-border payments for banks and fintechs
-its acquisition of Rambus Inc’s global tokenisation payments and ticketing technology business - PwC on the sale of its global mobility tax and immigration services business to CD&R for $2.2bn
- Just Eat on its £9bn merger with Takeaway.com by way of a recommended share exchange takeover offer, and the successful defence against Naspers’ £5.5bn hostile cash takeover offer
- Unilever on its £120bn cross-border merger to unify its dual-parent company legal structure under a single UK parent company and its listing of shares in London, Amsterdam and New York
- DigitalBridge on the establishment of its AtlasEdge joint venture with Liberty Global and Telefonica to establish a European edge data centre platform
- Brookfield on its proposed acquisition of Origin Energy's power generation and electricity retailing business as part of the joint AU$18.7bn takeover offer by Brookfield and EIG (whilst on secondment to Linklaters’ alliance firm Allens)
- InfraRed Capital Partners and Northleaf Capital Partners on their acquisition of 80% of Vodafone New Zealand’s passive tower infrastructure business for NZ$1.7bn and the ongoing shareholder arrangements with Infratil (whilst on secondment to Linklaters’ alliance firm Allens)
Professional experience
Between 2022 and 2023, Ellie spent 18 months on secondment as a senior overseas practitioner in the M&A practice at Allens, Linklaters’ alliance partner in Sydney, Australia.
Prior to joining the Linklaters M&A team in 2016, Ellie also spent time working in Linklaters’ Equity & Debt Capital Markets and Banking Finance practices in London and the Equity & Debt Capital Markets practice in Singapore.
Education and qualifications
Ellie holds a first-class Law degree from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) and completed the Accelerated Legal Practice Course at the University of Law with Distinction.
