Overview

Elizabeth is an associate in Linklaters’ U.S. Litigation, Arbitration and Investigations practice group. She represents clients in white-collar criminal matters and has counselled domestic and international clients, including financial institutions, public corporations, and executives in contract disputes, regulatory compliance, and other litigation matters.

Elizabeth is also strongly committed to pro bono service, representing clients across a variety of issues including immigration, housing, public health, and civil rights.

Work highlights
  • Former CEO of publicly traded biopharmaceutical company: defended against securities fraud, wire fraud and insider trading charges brought by the Department of Justice, including at trial.
  • Former CEO of publicly traded Latin American pharmaceutical company: advising on regulatory compliance.
  • Major Investment Company: advised on claims arising from a contract dispute.

Professional experience

  • Pro bono: represented a transgender child challenging the constitutionality of state law, along with the Human Rights Campaign.
  • Pro bono: representing individual in § 1983 discriminatory policing practices action, along with the ACLU Justice Lab.
  • Pro bono: submitted an amicus brief to the Supreme Court of the United States.
  • Pro bono: representing LGBT individuals in the asylum application process. Pro bono: representing individuals in eviction proceedings.

Education and qualifications

Elizabeth received her Juris Doctor from The George Washington University Law School, where she served as co-president of the Immigration Law Association. While at GW Law, she and her team placed first in the National Academy of Medicine’s 2022 D.C. Public Health Case Challenge.

Prior to law school, Elizabeth worked as a Fulbright Scholar in Barranquilla, Colombia.

Elizabeth graduated magna cum laude from Rutgers University - New Brunswick with Bachelor of Arts degrees in Spanish and Political Science.
