Overview
Emily is a managing associate in our Investment Funds practice in London, with a strong focus on infrastructure and credit funds and is ranked in the Private Funds section of the Legal 500.
Emily has assisted key clients with the development of their private credit and infrastructure platforms to expand and diversify their offerings, including fund financing, open-ended direct lending strategies and energy transition funds, catering to a global investor base. As well as securing institutional capital, Emily has supported her clients in strategic initiatives to access private wealth channels.
With experience across other asset classes including private equity and venture capital funds, Emily is able to provide transactional and advisory matters for a broad range of clients.
Emily also has experience acting for sovereign wealth funds and large pension funds in North America, along with other institutional investors in relation to their investment activities across all asset classes.
Work Highlights
- Macquarie Asset Management (Credit): advising on all infrastructure debt funds since the business’s establishment and many of the large SMA arrangements, which include investment grade and sub-investment grade debt, inflation-linked debt, and one of Europe’s first SFDR Article 9 debt funds, as well as the launch of MAM’s first product in fund financing.
- Macquarie Asset Management (Real Assets): advising on the establishment of private wealth products to invest alongside Macquarie’s global and European infrastructure funds targeting institutional capital.
- QIC: advising on the establishment of QIC Infrastructure Debt Fund II, which is seeking to raise total commitments of US$1bn.
- Q-Energy: advising on the launch of its infrastructure debt platform.
- Nestlé Ventures: advising on its investments into venture capital funds.
- AIMCo and PSP: advising on their recent cornerstone investments in European buy-out and credit funds.
Professional experience
Emily spent a year at Macquarie Asset Management in their private credit and infrastructure debt legal team (2021-2022), focused on fund formation. She has also completed secondments at Goldman Sachs and the Linklaters Dubai office.
Education and qualifications
Emily studied Economics at the University of Manchester.
