Overview

Hélène is an associate in the Dispute Resolution team in our Paris office and a member of the Paris Bar.

Hélène advises clients on a wide range of contentious matters, both before domestic civil and commercial courts and before arbitral tribunals such as the ICC, the PCA and the ICSID.

Her main fields of focus include complex contractual and commercial disputes, industrial litigation as well as commercial and investment arbitration.

Work highlights

Hélène has acted for our clients in many high-profile disputes, including:

Commercial Litigation:

  • Defending a French media company against an unfair competition action before French courts;
  • Assisting a leading manufacturer of implants in the context of multiple claims for alleged defective hip and elbow implants.

International Arbitration:

  • Acting for a multinational mining company in two ICC emergency arbitrations and in two subsequent parallel ICC arbitrations on the merits, brought against a mining state-controlled entity in Africa;
  • Acting for an African State in a PCA arbitration subject to foreign law of the relevant African State and to South African procedural law;
  • Acting for an African State in an ICSID arbitration brought by an oil & gas company over two offshore blocks.

Professional experience

Prior to joining Linklaters as an associate in 2022, Hélène acquired a cumulative experience in prestigious French, English and American law firms both in France and Switzerland.

Hélène is a member of the association Droit et Procédure, which aims to participate in the development of legislation and doctrinal positions on litigation and to promote dialogue between lawyers and the judicial authorities.

She also teaches tort and contractual Law at Université Paris Nanterre.

Education and qualifications

Hélène holds a Master’s degree in International Business Law from University Paris II Panthéon-Assas, as well as a dual-degree in French law and German law (Bachelor) from University Paris Nanterre and University of Potsdam (Germany).

She practices in French, English and German.
