Overview
Laurie joined Linklaters in January 2023 as a managing associate in the Investment Funds group. Her practice focuses on alternative investment funds and their asset managers (AIFMs), addressing all relevant regulatory matters.
She advises international clients on the structuring, set-up, organization and ongoing assistance of investment vehicles in private equity, real estate, venture capital, private debt and infrastructure asset classes (for both regulated and unregulated investment vehicles).
Besides, Laurie has a deep knowledge of investment funds’ related acquisition structures, corporate finance, cross-border transactions and is the legal counsel to a number of international clients on the formation of joint ventures, corporate restructuring, mergers and acquisitions.
Education and qualifications
Laurie holds an LL.M. in Corporate, M&A and Private Equity from Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law in New York (USA) and worked for a year at a Manhattan-based law firm, where she focused on private equity and real estate law.
She graduated from Paris Sud University with a Bachelor specialised in Corporate Law, a Master 1 in Business Law and a Master 2 for Business Attorneys in a bilingual French-English programme. She also holds a Law and Strategy certificate from EDHEC Business School (France) and was admitted to an exchange programme focusing on Quebec Business Law at the University of Montreal (Canada).
She is fluent in English and French
