Overview

Lisa is a Partner in the London office. She is a corporate law specialist and advises companies on a wide range of corporate and commercial matters, including public and private M&A, joint ventures, carve-outs and corporate restructurings.

As UK Co-head of the Technology Sector, Lisa has particular expertise in advising both high growth and established companies and funds on strategic investments and private capital fundraisings within the technology sector and is recognised as a recommended lawyer for Fintech by Legal 500. Lisa is also a member of the Firm’s GenAI Steering Committee.

Lisa’s experience includes advising:

  • on the proposed sale of the Telegraph newspaper and the Spectator Magazine in the UK
  • Softbank Vision Fund on the sale of its 25% stake in Arm Limited
  • Tate & Lyle on the US$1.7bn separation and sale of a controlling stake in its primary products business to KPS Capital Partners and the establishment of associated joint venture arrangements
  • Rio Tinto on its joint venture with First Quantum Minerals for the La Granja copper mine project in Peru
  • a leading global fintech company on the acquisition of a global payment services company based in the UK
  • a leading UK fintech company on its global reorganisation and multiple series fundraisings
  • a “big tech” company on multiple acquisitions of UK-based AI technology start-ups
  • Visa on its £700m acquisition of Currencycloud and acquisition of a US payments software technology company.

Professional experience

Lisa has spent time working in the firm’s Hong Kong office as well as on secondment to Citigroup and Rio Tinto in London.

Education and qualifications

Lisa holds a degree in Law (First Class Honours) and a degree in Commerce from the University of Sydney.

Lisa is a qualified solicitor in the UK (England & Wales) and New South Wales, Australia.
