Overview
Rebecca is an associate in Linklaters’ Litigation, Arbitration, & Investigations group in the firm’s New York office. Rebecca focuses on regulatory enforcement and compliance matters, including white-collar criminal defense, internal and government investigations, and complex commercial and multi-district civil litigation. Rebecca has represented a broad range of multinational and fortune 500 companies and executives in civil and criminal litigation and regulatory and internal investigations regarding federal securities laws, complex commercial disputes, and internal compliance matters.

Rebecca’s representative matters include:
- Mylan Pharmaceuticals CIO: securing complete dismissal of DOJ securities fraud charges two weeks before trial and representing the executive in a parallel SEC enforcement action.
- Bank Executives: advising several bank executives in the digital asset industry regarding US securities law in connection with investigations by the SEC and DOJ, including SEC interview preparation.
- A Global Fortune 500 Company: advising on several internal compliance investigations initiated by whistleblower complaints regarding employee misconduct and other internal compliance issues.
- A Pharmaceutical Executive: representing an executive in civil litigation related to an alleged conspiracy to fix prices and allocate market share.
- Managing Director at an International Financial Services Provider: representing executive in DOJ and SEC actions resulting in a guilty plea to charges of advisor fraud, securities fraud, and obstruction of justice.
- Founding Partner of Cryptocurrency Trading Platform: representing executive in DOJ investigation for alleged violations of various U.S. laws, including, among other things, the Bank secrecy Act, Travel Act, OFAC sanctions and substantive money laundering offenses.
- Chilean Hydroelectric Power Company: represented company in litigation before the New York State Supreme Court and related appeals, successfully opposing a preliminary injunction aimed at enjoining a letter of credit tied to a hydroelectric power project.
- Pharmaceutical Executive: Defending pharmaceutical executive in high-stakes civil litigation involving allegations of price-fixing and market allocation conspiracy.
Professional experience
Rebecca joined Linklaters in 2020. Rebecca is committed to pro bono work with a particular focus on immigration, including representing individuals in connection with their Asylum, Temporary Protected Status, and other immigration status applications.
Pro bono representation
- Pro bono representation in a death row case: representing an individual to safeguard their constitutional right to habeas corpus.
- Asylum: Successfully secured asylum for a Guatemalan national, a transgender woman living with HIV, who was fleeing persecution in Guatemala in United States Immigration Court proceedings. Additionally, Rebecca successfully obtained asylum for a Russian national escaping persecution in Russia and provided expert guidance on their subsequent green card application..
- Temporary Protected Status: securing temporary protected status for several Ukrainian nationals fleeing war-torn Ukraine.
Rebecca has been awarded the Sanctuary for Families 2023 Above and Beyond Pro Bono Achievement Award.
Rebecca also completed a two-month secondment at Westpac Banking Corporation's New York Branch, stepping in for the Head of U.S. Legal. During this period, she provided comprehensive advisory support on various issues, including subpoena response protocols and recent amendments to New York's whistleblower laws. Rebecca also reviewed vendor contracts, conducted gap analyses, and drafted templates for standard agreements, such as NDAs.
Education and qualifications
Rebecca holds a J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center.
Rebecca is a member of the New York State Bar and is admitted to practice in the Southern District of New York.
Rebecca is fluent in Russian.
