Overview

Sara Arrow is Counsel in Linklaters’ Litigation, Arbitration & Investigations department in New York. Her practice focuses on complex commercial disputes, government investigations, and employment law. From 2016 to 2017, Sara served as a law clerk to the Hon. Michael A. Chagares of the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit. From 2015 to 2016, she served as a law clerk to the Hon. Paul S. Diamond of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.

Sara has been named as a 2022 “Client Service All-Star” by The BTI Consulting Group, which recognizes attorneys who “stand above all the others in delivering the absolute best in client service.” Fewer than twenty-five associates nationwide were singled out by corporate counsel for this recognition. She has also been named a Super Lawyers “Rising Star” in the area of Business Litigation for 2020-2024.

  • A major pharmaceutical company: representing as plaintiff asserting claims for tortious interference with contract and deceptive trade practices, arising out of the alleged misappropriation of patient assistance funds*.
  • An innovative pharmaceutical company: defending against antitrust claims brought by a competitor marketing a product similar to the innovator’s blockbuster biologic drug. Also represented the innovator in follow-on actions brought by direct purchasers, indirect purchasers, and retailers*.
  • A biotechnology company: represented successfully in a dispute involving rights to an innovative medical device, with claims sounding in contract and trade secret misappropriation*.
  • Numerous clients from different industries: conducting sensitive internal investigations concerning fraud, whistleblower complaints, allegations of corporate misconduct, as well as counseling clients on implementing effective compliance programs and best practices, including related to the False Claims Act, Anti-Kickback Statute and Foreign Corrupt Practices Act*.
  • Corporations and individuals: representing in connection with federal, state and local criminal and civil investigations, including in matters adverse to the Department of Justice, Federal Trade Commission, and the Securities and Exchange Commission*.
  • Consumer products manufacturer: successfully obtained class decertification in a putative nationwide false advertising class action involving the labeling of a cosmetics product*.
  • Leading business process management company: represented in defending Lanham Act and related claims brought by a competitor*.
  • Corporate and not-for-profit clients: advising on employment issues including employment and separation agreements, personnel policies and corporate governance, employee handbooks, worker classification, diversity and inclusion, harassment and discrimination investigations and administrative proceedings, restructurings, and social media issues*.
  • Educational institutions: representing in Title IX compliance, internal investigations, and student disciplinary matters*

Sara maintains an active pro bono practice. Her representations have included:

  • Criminal defendant: represented in direct appeal of criminal assault conviction.
  • Marine Corps veteran: successfully represented in connection with an application for a discharge upgrade.
  • Criminal defendant: successfully represented in a coram nobis petition challenging the validity of her criminal conviction.

Education and qualifications

Sara obtained her Juris Doctor, graduating magna cum laude, from the University of Pennsylvania Carey Law School where she served as Comments Editor of the University of Pennsylvania Law Review. She obtained a Bachelor of Arts from Barnard College, Columbia University (magna cum laude).
