Overview

Sarah has been involved in public and private mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, co-investments, disposals and corporate restructurings, across a broad range of sectors with a particular focus on the energy and infrastructure and telecommunications sectors. She has spent time in the firm’s Singapore office as well as having spent time in our Corporate Tax department as an associate. Sarah is the Co-Chair of Linklaters’ Social Mobility Network.

Work Highlights

  • A consortium of leading telecom operators, comprised of AT&T, Deutsche Telekom, Orange, Telefonica, T-Mobile, Verizon and Vodafone: advising on the formation of a new venture with Ericsson to sell network APIs on a global scale.
  • Spirent Communications plc: advising on its c. £1bn cash offer from Viavi Solutions Inc.
  • Equitix: advising on the acquisition of a stake in Viridor Energy, one of the UK's largest recycling, renewable energy and waste management companies
  • Equitix: advising on the acquisition of a 50% interest in a portfolio of eight offshore wind farms from Macquarie Asset Management
  • Steinhoff International Holdings N.V. (now liquidated): advising on its corporate restructuring, delisting and €10bn debt and equity restructuring, resulting in its liquidation in fall 2023 and the transfer of assets and liabilities to a new holding company held by five independent Dutch trust foundations.
  • A consortium: advising on its c. £669m recommended cash offer for London-listed transport provider The Go-Ahead Group plc.
  • Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan Board: advising on its £1.465bn acquisition of 25% stake in SSE plc's electricity transmission network business.
  • Ontario Teachers Pension Plan: advising on the establishment of Corio, its global offshore wind development platform with Macquarie.
  • WSP Global Inc: advising on its acquisition of Wood Group’s environmental and infrastructure consulting business.
  • AUB Group Limited (AUB): on its acquisition of Tysers Insurance Brokers.
