Unified Patent Court

Since 1 June 2023, the Unified Patent Court (UPC) provides for an unprecedented court system that allows enforcing patents across several European jurisdictions in a single court proceeding. As expected, the UPC has a significant impact on the European patent law landscape. With a growing reputation for high-quality and speedy decisions, the ability to grant cross-border relief, and various language options (including English), the court is proving to be an attractive forum.
