Linklaters advises the lenders on the refinancing of the Rubis group
RUBIS TERMINAL Infra (a joint venture between the global infrastructure investment manager I Squared Capital and the French listed company Rubis), a leading European company specialising in the distribution of petroleum products and bulk liquid storage, has successfully refinanced its commercial debt on 20 July 2022. The new debt of c €810m allows the full refinancing of the indebtedness of the RUBIS TERMINAL Infra group (including the early redemption of its bonds), as well as the financing of the group’s potential future investments.
Linklaters acted as legal adviser to the mandated lead arrangers, being Banco Santander, Crédit Agricole CIB and DNB Bank. As the RUBIS TERMINAL Infra group is present across Europe with affiliates in a number of jurisdictions, this cross-border transaction was led from Linklaters’ Paris office and included its Amsterdam and Madrid offices.
The team in Paris was comprised of Darko Adamovic (partner), Alex Bluett (managing associate), Etienne Paletto (associate), Youssef Berrada (associate), Zehra Ozge Sever (associate), for the structuring and financing aspects, and Vincent Poilleux (counsel) and Tristan Joguet-Sauvage (associate), for the hedging aspects.
