Linklaters launches virtual learning program in U.S.
Designed to inspire students interested in a career in law
Linklaters has announced the launch of its U.S. Virtual Learning Program. Designed to inspire the next generation of talent, the program aims to widen access to the legal profession and introduce a broader range of college and law students to Linklaters.
The free virtual program is hosted through the open-access platform, Forage, and is comprised of a series of modules and assignments designed to simulate the day-to-day work of a U.S associate.
Students will be able to these undertake modules and practice the skills needed to carry the work of a Linklaters lawyer. The platform uses e-learning-style technology and provides model answers so students can self-correct their work. The program consists of approximately 6 hours of content.
Open to all students, the program is self-paced and does not require prior legal knowledge or experience. Participants will receive a certificate of completion award, recognizing the new skills they’ve learned and demonstrated.

"Our U.S. Virtual Learning Program helps demystify big law and offers a glimpse into the work of a Linklaters attorney. We hope that by making this freely available to anyone, anywhere in the U.S., we can inspire students who are curious about pursuing a career in law,"In 2019, Linklaters was the first law firm to work with Forage to offer a first-of-its-kind online legal work experience for students in the UK. Since that time, the Firm has expanded its offerings to include a legal work experience for students based in Hong Kong as well as a program for students interested in exploring business services careers.
