Sophie specialises in advising national and international companies and financial investors in the areas of mergers & acquisitions, private equity, joint ventures and restructurings as well as general corporate law.

  • Carrier Global Corporation: advising on the €12bn acquisition of the Climate Solutions Business of Viessmann Group.
  • Lufthansa and Lufthansa Technik: advising on strategic considerations regarding a possible sale of a minority stake in Lufthansa Technik via M&A or IPO and related carve-out measures.
  • Körber AG: advising on the disposal of the Group´s Business Area Tissue to the Finnish company Valmet.
  • Trans-o-flex Express GmbH & Co. KGaA and their partners: advising the shareholders on the sale to the French logistics group GEODIS S.A.
  • Cosco Shipping Ports: advising on the acquisition of a minority interest in HHLA Container Terminal Tollerort.
  • A German leading developer and provider of IT solutions for the real property industry: advising on the acquisition of a German IT soft-ware developer company by way of a combined asset- and share deal.

Professional experience

Sophie has been working at Linklaters since 2023.

In addition to her work, she is pursuing a doctorate in constitutional law.

She is a member of the Hamburg Bar Associations and of the Deutschen Juristinnen Bund (djb).

Education and qualifications

Sophie studied German Law at the University of Freiburg in Germany. She completed her legal traineeship at the Dresden Court of Appeal and in London. Before and during her legal traineeship, she also worked for another international law firm. She is currently pursuing a doctorate at the University of Halle-Wittenberg in Germany.

She speaks German and English.
