Update on Non-competes in Singapore

There has been recent public and parliamentary scrutiny on non-competes in the wake of failed injunctions by Shopee (an e-commerce platform) and MoneySmart (an online finance portal) to stop former employees from joining competitors and the non-competes applied by Lazada (an e-commerce platform) to staff being retrenched in a restructuring in early 2024.
