Linklaters appoints Richard Ginks as Global Head of Energy Infrastructure

Linklaters is pleased to announce the appointment of Richard Ginks as the new Global Head of Energy & Infrastructure, effective 1 May 2025. He succeeds Daniel Tyrer, who has successfully led the practice group since 2019 and who will be returning to full-time client work.

The global energy & infrastructure practice specialises in large scale, award winning and market-leading transactions worldwide and across the full spectrum of the energy and infrastructure sectors - including renewables, energy transition technologies and digital infrastructure, alongside transportation, nuclear, oil and gas and mining.

Richard Ginks has been a partner in the team since 2007 and has been based in London and Singapore. He has a broad practice advising sponsors and funders on the development, financing and acquisition/sale of energy and infrastructure assets, with a particular focus on the renewable energy and wider energy transition sectors.
