Overview
Michał is a NY-qualified lawyer in Linklaters' Warsaw Corporate/M&A team. He specialises in corporate and commercial law, with experience in advising clients on private M&A transactions, joint ventures, corporate reorganisations and general corporate advice. His professional experience focuses on Polish and multi-jurisdictional M&A transactions in the CEE and Eurasia regions.
Work highlights
- Cerberus Capital Management: Advising on its PLN1 billion acquisition of 100% of the shares of VeloBank, a leading global bank in Poland.
- Polish private jets producer: Advising on the establishment of its joint venture with a leading capital group located in a Gulf country.
- Qatar Investment Authority: Advising on the acquisition of an approximately 20% interest in the D.ream International global fine dining group, whose brands include the well-known Nusr-et (founded by Salt Bae) and Zuma.
- Compagnie Plastic Omnium SA: Advising the French listed company on the Polish aspects of a €600 million strategic acquisition of Varroc Lighting Systems, a supplier of automotive lighting systems.
- Unilever PLC: Advising on the Polish aspects of a €4.5 billion sale of the world’s leading tea business to CVC Capital Partners.

Education and qualifications
Michał read law at Columbia Law School where he was a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar, the London School of Economics (LSE) and the University of Wroclaw. Michał holds also a B.A. and M.A. in economics from the University of Wroclaw. Currently, he is a Ph.D. candidate at the Polish Academy of Sciences.
