Nathaniel Schlakman

Nathaniel is an associate in the corporate practice based in New York. He represents private equity backed healthcare platforms, US, EU and Hong Kong based strategic buyers and other private equity firms in a variety of domestic and cross-border M&A transactions, with a focus in the healthcare sector.

Work highlights

• The largest endodontic-focused platform in the United States: advising on more than a dozen acquisitions of endodontic practices.

• Perfetti van Melle: advising on its US$1.35bn acquisition of Mondelez’s developed-market gum business in the United States, Canada and Europe.
• A coordinated regional care provider: advising on a sale of seventeen hospitals located in six states.
• A value based integrated care and medical management provider for persons with or at risk of developing chronic kidney disease: advising on joint venture transactions with practices in the industry.

Nathaniel is an active member in his community located on the upper west side of Manhattan, and frequently volunteers at non-for-profit organizations. He has engaged in pro-bono legal matters, with a recent focus on supporting volunteer efforts in Ukraine.

Nathaniel studied corporate and business law at the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law where he received his Juris Doctor in 2018.
