Penelope Jensen is a partner in Linklaters’ U.S. Restructuring & Insolvency practice. She advises administrative agents, steering committees, individual lenders and other credit providers facing bankruptcy and insolvency-related issues on complex credits of all sizes, with particular expertise in chapter 11 proceedings and out-of-court restructurings.

Penelope is listed in the 2024 Lawdragon 500 Leading Global Bankruptcy and Restructuring Lawyers Guide and was one of ‘The Deal's Top Women in Dealmaking for 2023’. Penelope's experience includes:

  • McDermott International, Ltd: advising Crédit Agricole CIB on the successful cross-border restructuring implemented through a UK Restructuring Plan, Dutch WHOAs and chapter 15 cases.
  • Global Brands Group: advising the secured lenders in the Group’s multi-jurisdictional wind-down, implemented through chapter 11 cases, a UK administration, and other insolvency proceedings in Europe and Asia.
  • Lonestar Resources Inc.: advising Citibank as administrative agent and collateral agent to the RBL lenders, on the chapter 11 cases.
  • McDermott International, Inc.: advising  Crédit Agricole CIB, as revolving/LC agent and collateral agent under the prepetition, DIP, and exit credit facilities, on the chapter 11 cases.
  • Chisholm Oil and Gas Operating, LLC: advising Citibank as administrative agent and collateral agent to the RBL lenders, on the chapter 11 cases.
  • Pride Group Holdings Inc.: advising the Company and the foreign representative on its restructuring, including the chapter 15 cases.
  • Ion Geophysical Corporation: advising Sercel Holding SA as the successful bidder of the software business in the chapter 11 cases.

Penelope studied accounting and finance at Hofstra University and holds a Juris Doctor from St. John’s University School of Law.
