New PLSA Stewardship and Voting Guidance focusses on climate, pay and diversity

The UK's PLSA (Pension and Lifetime Savings Association) has published updated Stewardship and Voting Guidelines for 2022. The guidance advises pension trustees on how to exercise their votes at annual general meetings of listed investee companies. This year, the PLSA is focusing on effective disclosure of climate-related issues, whether executive pay packages are appropriate in light of Covid-19 impacts and cost of living concerns, and the promotion of diversity and inclusion.
