This month’s updates are broad: AI (of course!); cyber; data; and IP, all make an appearance. 

On the AI-front, it is telling that more markets are getting increasingly prescriptive, with technical and safety guidelines and guidance on synthetic data generation. Also, Hong Kong’s authorities are exploring the intersection between AI and IP, proposing a text and data mining exemption to existing copyright rules to encourage AI development.
