Linklaters ranks Top 10 again in Social Mobility Employer Index
Linklaters has ranked in the top 10 in the UK’s Social Mobility Employer Index 2024 for the second year running for its steadfast commitment to promoting social mobility and developing and advancing talent from all backgrounds. This achievement marks the eighth consecutive year that the firm has been recognised as a leading employer in the Social Mobility Foundation's Social Mobility Employer Index.
The Social Mobility Foundation assesses the measures taken by employers across various industries within the UK to ensure inclusivity and advancement of talent from diverse social backgrounds. The Index was created as a benchmarking tool to help organisations evaluate their performance in promoting social mobility.
The Index focuses on eight key areas, including how organisations work with young people, entry routes into the employer, and the methods they use to attract, retain, and progress talent.
Simon Branigan, Executive Committee Champion for Social Mobility at Linklaters, commented:
“Providing equal opportunities to all is fundamental to our values and we ensure that an individual’s background is never a barrier to their success. We will keep striving to level the playing field by targeting social mobility cold spots, ensuring equal access to opportunities and resources, and fostering an inclusive culture supported by our internal Social Mobility Network.”
Linklaters is committed to ensuring that personal background, social identity and socio-economic circumstances are not barriers to success, with social mobility being one of the global priorities within the firm's Diversity, Equity and Inclusion strategy.
