Overview
Carl is a partner in the firm’s German private equity practice. He advises private equity houses and financial sponsor clients on their M&A deals, strategic investments and joint ventures.
Carl also advises sponsors on the management of their existing portfolio companies, including on management investment plans, equity financings, liquidity events and add-on transactions.
Carl regularly works on complex cross-border transactions and has gained first-hand insights having spent six months as a secondee with a financial sponsor client.

Education and qualifications
Carl has studied law at the University of Freiburg and at the University of Cambridge. He holds a PhD from the University of Mannheim.
He speaks German and English.
