Linklaters advises the lenders on the financing of the acquisition by a joint venture constituted by InfraVia Capital Partners and eircom of the fiber network operated by eir in Ireland
Fibre Networks Ireland Limited, a newly incorporated joint venture indirectly held by eircom and InfraVia Capital Partners, has successfully completed the financing of the acquisition of the assets constituting the fiber network historically operated by eir in Ireland. The new debt of c. €1bn also allows the financing of the rolling-out of future fibre networks and the joint-venture's potential future acquisitions.
Linklaters acted as legal advisers to the mandated lead arrangers, being Natixis Corporate & Investment Banking, Crédit Agricole CIB, Société Générale and BNP Paribas. Linklaters has worked along with Arthur Cox LLP and Carey Olsen for, respectively, the Irish and Jersey aspects of the transaction. The team in Paris comprised Darko Adamovic (partner), Alex Bluett (managing associate), Etienne Paletto and Zehra Ozge Sever (associates) for the financing aspects, and Vincent Poilleux (counsel) and Tristan Joguet-Sauvage (associate) for the hedging aspects.
