Linklaters advises Carlyle on its majority acquisition of Seidor

Linklaters has advised Carlyle on a 60% majority acquisition of Catalan technology consultancy company Seidor.

The remaining 40% of Seidor will stay with the founding shareholders and executives.

Carlyle's entry, subject to regulatory and competition authorisations, aims to accelerate Seidor's growth, focusing on Spain, the United States, Western Europe, and the Nordic countries, as well as Latin America, the Middle East, and Africa.

This is a significant deal for the technology and fund sectors, especially in the current M&A environment.

The Linklaters deal team consisted of Madrid and London-based lawyers, led by M&A/PE partner Esteban Arza, together with counsel Elena Rodríguez. Further core team members included Banking partner Oliver Sceales, Tax partner Alejandro Meca, Tax managing associate Alvaro Albiñana, M&A/PE associate Lucia Herrero and Banking associate Carolina Abecasis.
