Overview
Luca advises on all individual and collective employment law issues, in particular on the employment law aspects of M&A transactions and post-merger-integration and executive matters.
Luca has a specific focus on occupational pension schemes. In this respect, he advises on the design, implementation and modification of pension schemes as well as concepts for outsourcing and de-risking of pension liabilities.
Work highlights
- Nestlé: advising on the employment and pension law aspects of the contribution frozen pizza production in Europe into a joint venture with the private equity company PAI Partners.
- Carrier: advising on the employment and pension law aspects of the acquisition of Viessmann’s Climate Solution business for €12bn and sale of its global commercial refrigeration business to its long-time joint venture partner Haier for US$775m.
- Mercedes-Benz: advising the Supervisory Board in connection with the service contracts of the members of the Executive Board, on the remuneration system for the Executive Board and on questions of other agreements with current and former members of the Executive Board and other executive.
- TRATON Group: advising on the employment and pension law aspects of the acquisition of the financial service business of MAN and Volkswagen Truck & Bus from Volkswagen Financial Services.
- Uniper: advising on complex corporate governance and novel remuneration issues in the context of the rescue package by the German government worth €13.5 billion in state support.
Professional experience
Luca has been admitted as a lawyer in 2017. He joined Linklaters in 2022 as a Managing Associate. Prior to joining Linklaters, he worked for a renowned international law firm and a leading employment law firm in Germany.
Education and qualifications
Luca studied law at the University of Cologne. He continued his education at the Rhein. Friedrich-Wilhelms-University Bonn where he earned his Doctorate of Law.
He speaks German and English.
